Presented by APRA AMCOS, The National Film and Sound Archive and MusicACT.EQUALIZE is a free, practical one-day workshop for women and gender diverse* musicians and producers.Taking place at National Film &amp; Sound Archive (NFSA) on Saturday 20 September, participants will develop their skills in songwriting and live audio with Miya Zawa and Anna Davies respectively. The skill development sessions will take place in small groups, with workshops providing a supportive, inclusive and open environment.Snacks and refreshments provided!*APRA AMCOS recognises that ‘gender diverse’ embodies a variety of ways people experience gender, including non-binary, trans, gender non-conforming, trans other non-cis male gender expressions and more. Above all, APRA AMCOS believes that the EQUALIZE workshops should be an inclusive, safe and caring creative environment for all participants.Schedule<ul><li>12:30pm - Arrival</li><li>12:50 pm - Acknowledgement of Country, house-keeping, event rundown.</li><li>1:00 pm - 1st session: Songwriting (Studio)</li><li>2:30 pm - Afternoon tea</li><li>3:00 pm - 2nd session: Live Music Audio Production (Theatrette)</li><li>4:30 pm – Sessions finish, followed by networking</li><li>5:30 - Event ends</li></ul>Accessibility All areas within the NFSA are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair access to the building is available via Liversidge Street. There are accessible parking spaces on both sides of the building, off McCoy Circuit (see below).A wheelchair is available from Reception, which can be requested on arrival. To book the wheelchair in advance, call (02) 6248 2000 during business hours.Liversidge Street Ramp: The ramp varies in width; the average width is approximately 1.24 metres, while the narrowest point is approximately 1.00 metres wide.Distance from accessible parking: The distance from accessible parking to the entrance on Liversidge Street is approximately 100 metres.Bathrooms: Accessible bathrooms are located on the McCoy Circuit side of the building, opposite the Theatrette, and on the Liversidge Street side of the building.Theatrette: Contains two permanently available accessible seats.
