EQUALIZE is a free, practical one-day workshop for women and gender diverse* music makers. Taking place across Australia in September and October, participants will hone and develop their songwriting and live audio skills in a supportive, inclusive and open environment. Each of the skill development sessions will take place in small groups, facilitated by women and gender-diverse experts in their field.*APRA AMCOS recognises that ‘gender diverse’ embodies a variety of ways people experience gender, including non-binary, trans, gender non-conforming, other non-cis male gender expressions and more. Above all, APRA AMCOS believes that the EQUALIZE workshops should be an inclusive, safe and caring creative environment for all participants.FACILITATORSAlex Hosking:Australian-born, Alex Hosking, is an internationally acclaimed electronic artist, in-demand vocalist and hit-making songwriter for renowned artists across the globe. Her knack for creating instantly infectious melodic hooks, leads to songs flying through the charts as buoyantly as her curls. Alex is immersed in the electronic music production realm - working on her new body of work. Alongside her time in the studio, this year has seen Alex flaunts her new skills on-stage as a DJ and in the studio producing for herself and others. showcasing her ever-growing versatility and passion for music. Excitingly Alex has signed a record deal with Tomorrowland MusicLuana Moreno:Luana Moreno has been a sound engineer for over 16 years. Originally from Brazil, she is now based in Adelaide, SA. She works as a freelance live and studio engineer, workshop facilitator, consultant and mentor. She produces and coordinates events with her business Caiman Productions as well. You can find her at the Northern Sound System, at Nexus Arts, at her own studio and at several other venues, festivals, studios and film sets across Australia.ACCESSIBILITYAdelaide SAE is a fully-accessible multi-level campus.
