This workshop considers the benefits and challenges of working with student writers. It commences with a broad discussion of the act of writing, the development of writer identity, and why this matters to graduate researchers. It introduces the topic of co-authorship with candidates, and discusses the factors that might influence how much input a supervisor has in the writing process, and what kinds of feedback work best for different writing scenarios.

This workshop is for graduate research supervisors and other researchers involved with student's producing scholarly work.
