Event description

Description

Welcome to the future! Robots are playing soccer, machines help us avoid traffic blocks, and soon, your mail could be delivered by a drone.

It’s no doubt that artificial intelligence (AI) is evolving exponentially. AI is everywhere – from the moment you wake up and verbally communicate with your alarm clock, to major industries such as healthcare, education and manufacturing. It’s also affecting almost every workplace, opening up new jobs that no-one ever envisioned 25 years ago.

So how do we respond to all these changes? (Minus the fear of robots taking over, of course).

On Thursday February 6th, presenter Dheeren Velu – Australian ICT Professional of the Year, TEDx Speaker and Capgemini Invent's Director of AI – will lead a panel to answer just that.

“The impact of AI in the age of reinvention” is all about how we can harness AI to benefit our workplaces. The panel will tackle hot topics on the tip of every IT-lover’s tongue – particularly how the AI-led transformation of major industries could impact your job, your organisation and even you.

Join us on the final day of RMIT’s annual Engaging for Impact event to learn about the future of work, pioneer new ways of thinking, and even watch the Redback Bots kick around a ball or two.
