This webinar will explore the unique characteristics of enabling curriculum for student success

Enabling courses and programs provide access to higher education for people from diverse backgrounds by developing their knowledge, skills and confidence to undertake university studies. As Enabling educators we prepare our students for success in their undergraduate studies. This webinar will look at what is Enabling Curriculum, why it matters and how it differs from pedagogy. Presenter:Dr Bronwyn RelfBronwyn is employed in the Open Foundation Program at the University of Newcastle teaching the popular ‘Science for Nursing and Midwifery’ courses. In her role as the Discipline Cluster Leader for the College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing she is responsible for ensuring the curriculum of Open Foundation courses in this area prepares students for success in their first year of undergraduate studies. In 2016 she was the recipient of an OLT Seed Grant investigating the curriculum design principles for enabling programs.
