EMET Conference – Rural & Remote Emergency Care
Join us for a hands-on experience in building your emergency medicine knowledge and skills. This in-person event will take place at the Anne O'Byrne Education Centre, Level 1, tunapri mapali, 39 Frankland Street, Launceston General Hospital, Launceston.
The workshop will commence at 9:00am on Friday November 27, 2026 (registration open from 8:30am) and conclude at 4:00pm on Saturday November 28, 2026.
Topics to be covered over the two days include:
- A–E assessment and management of critically ill or injured patients
- Point-of-care ultrasound
- Emergency dentistry
- Joint and fracture reductions
- Advanced suturing skills
- Emergency simulation-based scenarios

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided on both days.
A networking event (food provided) will be held on Friday evening at 5:00pm. The cost of the networking event is included in your ticket; however, confirmation of attendance will be required.
Be ready to learn from our Department of Emergency Medicine teams from the Launceston General Hospital, North West Regional Hospital and the Royal Hobart Hospital, as well as clinicians from the Tasmanian Retrieval Service.
