Welcome to a cosy chrysalis and gentle holding space for a deep, full-body rest, reset, and return home to Self. Come and experience rest like never before.This is an invitation into deep slowness - a slow-dripped descent into your body through a somatic and sensory journey of long-held yin yoga, embodied movement, yoga nidra, and live sound. You'll be supported to reconnect with your body, the earth, and the greater tapestry of the cosmos.A sacred pause - for less doing, more being, and more feeling. A remembrance that there is nothing we need to do to be whole, for we already are.Through rest, we can expand our sense of connection to others, to self, to our bodies, our intuitive and extra-sensory perception, our earth body, community, ancestors, and the collective cosmic body situated beyond time, space, land, and history. All this, by sinking gently into transportive, luxurious rest. In this workshop, you’ll be guided to:~ Sensitise your capacity to feel the subtle cues of your body and its wisdom ~ Regulate, attune to, and expand the resilience of your nervous system ~ Lean back and allow your body its innate right to self-repair, regenerate, and renew ~ Tap into the inner wellspring of spaciousness, clarity, creativity, and vitality ~ Explore rest as a doorway into dreams, altered states, and intuitive knowing In rest, we remember who we truly are and what we truly need before the noise of the world came in. What’s Included: ~ Embodied yin yoga (supported, long-held shapes with props) ~ Gentle somatic movement and breath practices ~ A unique, creative approach to yoga nidra ~ Live soundscape with sacred and ethereal instruments Our approach to all practices invites self-discovery and encourages you to lean into your own body's wisdom, power, guidance, and discernment.All practices are optional and invitational. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Embodied Yin Yoga Yin yoga weaves long-held postures supported by generous props to dissolve deep-tissue tension. Our approach also invites gentle movement, interoceptive awareness, emotional presence, and subtle sensation - each posture a renewed opportunity to notice, soften, and be with what is. Through stillness and mindful movement, we enliven tissue and fluids, process stored memory, and begin to soften habitual holding patterns by creating safety, resilience, and nervous system expansion.Gentle Somatic Movement Within the slowness and stillness, we explore gentle movement - within yin shapes and throughout the session - to move stagnant energy, express emotions, unwind tension, and sensitise body and emotional awareness, giving space for what’s within to move freely.Gentle Breathwork Woven throughout are short parasympathetic breath practices to support nervous system regulation and down-regulation - shifting states softly, deepening rest, awakening vitality, and expanding our capacity for energy and balance.Yoga Nidra Like you’ve never experienced it. Yoga Nidra is a guided lying meditation, often called “yogic sleep,” offering transformative rest with meditative awareness. Jess’s Nidra journeys are deeply embodied, expansive, and intuitive - blending creative transmission with space for personal agency and inner exploration. Optional and invitational, this is not your conventional Nidra, but a layered descent into visionary, altered states.Live Sound For the past 17 years, Max has facilitated sacred song and sound journeys using a blend of acoustic and electronic instruments. He leads the chanting of mantras and sacred songs from around the world, creating a sonic experience that moves people deeply. Let yourself be held in the energizing womb of guitar, crystal bowls, djembe, handpan, drums, and voice - floating along a river of soft, comforting vibrations that shift energy, attune the nervous system, and leave you feeling whole, harmonious, and connected.

About your facilitators: Jess Mali <a href="https://www.instagram.com/getsoft._____/" title="https://www.instagram.com/getsoft._____/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@getsoft._____</a>Devoted to embodiment, relational connection, and earth-based wisdom, Jess Mali is a facilitator of shamanic, somatic, and tantric arts. With a balanced approach, she integrates depth and lightness, softness and empowerment, expansion and grounding. Her space illuminates the wisdom and healing capacities within us all.With over six years of study in embodiment, movement, yoga, meditation, relating, and ceremony, Jess continues to learn from trauma therapists, somatic practitioners, tantric disruptors, and medicine guides.We heal together.Jess centres community care, connection to land and ancestry, and a return to ancient wisdom as pathways to collective and personal healing. Her offerings aim to dismantle dogma, decolonise, and give voice to our tender human parts. By embracing our unique embodiment and authentic expression, Jess believes that when we hold ourselves with love and fullness, we can do the same for others, creating true reconnection and healing.

Max Jared <a href="https://www.instagram.com/maxjared/" title="https://www.instagram.com/maxjared/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@maxjared</a>Max is a passionate powerhouse of positivity using his love of sound to bring harmony to the world around him. As a facilitator of sacred song and sound for the past 17 years, Max uses a variety of acoustic and electronic instruments to weave sound journeys that invite participants to connect with their bodies, minds, emotions and spirits. From acoustic guitar and singing bowls to handpan and vocals, Max creates a sonic experience people can embody, feel and be moved by. He specializes in leading chanting of mantras and sacred songs from across the world, using the voice as a pathway to personal peace and embodiment. Max is the founder of GoodVibe, a community working to make sound healing, breathwork and embodiment modalities as accessible and commonplace as Yoga and Meditation. +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Things to note:Centre of You has plenty of bolsters, blankets, and cushions for you to get cosy with. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothes to enable deep breathing and sitting/laying upon the floor with ease. Something to cover your eyes, if you wish to do so (eg. eye mask, scarf). A journal is recommended as are any familiar personal items that will aid you in feeling grounded (crystal, teddy, scarf, etc).Personal responsibility: Please make an assessment on whether you are feeling stable and resourced enough to explore the practices on offer in this event.Notice of Partial Moment Amateur Photography/Videography: There are many events held at Centre of You where no content is captured. The facilitator of this event however wishes to capture moments of this gathering for future marketing and community-sharing purposes. This will take place via their personal device captured by themselves or a representative. We recognise that being recorded can impact personal comfort and nervous system regulation and we want to honor your preferences. If you do not wish to have your image captured yet still wish to join, know that this is entirely possible at this event. Please speak with us at the door so we can honour your boundaries. If you’d like to review any footage captured at the conclusion of the event, you are most welcome to do so.Arrival: Endeavour to arrive between 5:15pm - 5:30pm. To preserve the experience for all involved, doors will close at 5:45pm. Truly, it breaks our heart to have to turn latecomers away yet the disruption to the whole group experience by virtue of lateness does require management. We ask that you find understanding and consideration for the timebound nature of the container and make every effort to arrive on time.Driving: Know Centre of You is on Chapel St and ample time to find a car spot is best to be factored into your plans. Park direct on Chapel St (spots unmetered after 5pm) or in Anchor Place, the open-air parking lot in the side street that runs opposite Centre of You (unmetered after 4pm).Public transport - tram: Both the number 6 tram &amp; 78 tram stop on the corner of High St/Chapel St. This is stop 31 on the number 6 tram (Moreland/Glen Iris) &amp; stop 45 on the number 78 tram (North Richmond/Balaclava).Public transport - train: Both Prahran &amp; Windsor stations along the Sandringham Line will get you walking distance to Centre of You.Finding Centre of You: Centre of You is nestled within the arcade that Chapel St Bazaar is in (217 Chapel St). It is up a flight of stairs with a wide landing at the half-way-point. Unfortunately, this current version of Centre of You does not have a wheelchair accessible lift.
