Event Information
About this Event
Do you want to improve your English communication skills while having fun and meeting new friends this summer? Put your writing, listening, reading, and speaking skills into practice while exploring the campus, working on exciting creative projects, and hanging out with excellent people. You’ll be guided by our experienced English Language Program tutors to explore new ways of sharpening your English Language skills. This is ELSP, but not as you know it!
Join us on in The Commons, level 2 of the Central Library at Bedford Park, for a few hours of activities, games, and English language fun!
The program will run from 10am-3pm each Thursday from the 28th January to the 18th February.
January 28th 10am - 3pm - Interviews with Famous People
February 4th 10am - 3pm - Make a Documentary
February 11th 10am - 3pm - Art Appreciation
February 18th 10am - 3pm - Creative Writing
In the morning, we'll start out with our focus for the day. It might be introducing you to an excellent documentary film, or looking at some fabulous art, or reading a short story. Then we'll break down some of the key aspects of language used in each form and you'll get a chance to put your skills to the test.
After lunch, it's over to you to hone your English skills while creating something amazing: your own short film, a short story, an interview with someone, or an artistic presentation. You'll get to practice your speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills and you won't even know you're doing it!
Places are limited, so get in quickly!
