EDGE(y): A Celebration of Tradition

The Edge organisers for this event include Jerry de Gryse, Cassandra Chilton, Grant Revell, Steven Tupu,   and other behind-the-scenes activists. EDGE Melbourne

Please join us for an afternoon and evening of edge-y energy, at the remarkable Savage Club in Melbourne. 
 
Presenters and participants are coming from far and wide, to celebrate the long history of student-led conferences about the EDGEs of landscape architecture, in education and in design practice. These events form a living tradition, established with EDGE 1, in 1983. These events became milestones in the design culture of landscape architecture in Australia, with radical effects in education, publishing, design practice and in global recognition.
 
The programme will start at 3:30pm with casual conversations and refreshments in the amazing Social Room, in an atmosphere steeped in the hisory of Melbourne's avant-gardes. At 5:30pm the bar will open upstairs, and the event will continue in the Social Room from 7pm until late. The programme is evolving, in true EDGE style, but includes a live panel Q&A (we'll take that as a comment!), very short visual presentations, informal commentary, laughter and critique and a Knowledge Cabaret (what's that?) with open mike. Audience particiaption is essential! We'll also debut the EDGE dance floor, bring a playlist..... Book for one, book for a group. The ticket price includes all refreshments, finger food, fine wines and extraordinary company. Ticket prices* cover venue costs only.
