Dancing Dhevas

Ecstatic dance is a great way to have a healthy, clean dance experience without any intoxicants and without any chatter. We come for the purity of dance, to move like no one is watching and dance your heart out, its a meditation, a work out, a release of tension, a place to make friends and a place to be alone, it is safe and it can support spiritual connection.
This is a free form practice with no right or wrong, no moves to follow and no one judging you. There will be guidance to help you start the dance journey, to assist connection with what ever is present so your dance can be as authentic and natural as possible. Over time your body will relax, your mind will release its grip and your heart will open to the joy and wonderful ecstatic experience of conscious dance.
The dj will craft a mix of music that will start slow and rise in tempo and energy combining various genres that may span funk, jazz, electronic to classical, folk, world and sometimes the odd cheesy track to lighten the seriousness. 
This isn't about looking good, this is about feeling good.
Come and dance the dance only you can dance!

Arrive early to warm up, stretch and settle into the space. Wear comfortable clothes you can move and sweat in, bring water to drink and we dance bare foot, no shoes on the dance floor. No talking on the dance floor, we refrain from chatter so we can immerse into our dance and not distract others with our words. This is of high importance and adds to the safety experienced by dancers, most things can be vocalized after the dance. The power of dance is profound, be prepared to release, heal and celebrate your existence. Come as you are or bring a friend, we share a dance floor of like minded souls who move as one and celebrate life in all its complexities in one moment. No right or wrong and no set moves, open up to a world of possibilities beyond your imagination, with you, the dance floor and great music! 6:30 - Warm up and settle in - give yourself time to arrive and land. 
7pm - DOORS SHUT! no entry after 7pm 
8:45 - Closing circle, an opportunity to settle and share a few words if you wish
9pm - Head home or head on!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? 
This is an 18+ event, sorry no kids
 
What can I bring into the event?
Water 
Towel,
Turn mobiles off,
No cameras what so ever
 
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Dancing Dhevas can be contacted via messenger upto 4 hours before the event, after that we may respond but will be setting up for the dance. 
 
What's the refund policy?
Refunds upto 7 days before after that they can only be transferred to another person. 
 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No ticket required, just your name at the door 
 
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes you may transfer to a friend. 
 
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
That is ok, a friend can take your place.
