HERE & NOW would like to personally invite you and a guest to our invite only showcase of our third live film Echo, No Resonance. Join us in this disruptive and bold format of film that we believe breathes life into the cinematic experience. ECHO, NO RESONANCE
Directed by Michael Beets and S.C. Wilson, Echo, No Resonance is a live cinematic production that is shot, performed, edited, composed and streamed live. It can only be watched once in the moment of creation and never again.
It follows a cast of street dwellers (Andy Mcphee, Emma Choy, Vassili Katsakis) whose lives intricately intersect and collide over the course of a single electrifying evening. The film will be live composed by Jacob Richards (PUSCHA) and edited live by Michael Beets in front of an audience in The Stables (The Meat Market) in North Melbourne.
Echo, No Resonance is our third live cinema production after our pioneering films In the Shadow it Waits (Raindance Film Festival) and Those Left Waiting (CPH:DOX).
ART GALLERY
At the stables we will also be showcasing a collection of sold artworks created by generative artist Andreas Rau. These artworks have funded the film.
220 Moments from the live cinematic experience, chosen by an algorithm, will become visual artworks once the film has been created. This randomised process elevates both ordinary and extraordinary moments, creating unique echoes of a film that can only be seen once, and never again.
