EC Kickball Sydney: 5th Anniversary Charity Tournament

To celebrate our 5-year anniversary, we’re hosting a Charity Kickball Tournament on Sunday 01 February, 2026

Celebrate five incredible years of Emerald City Kickball at our 5th Anniversary Charity Kickball Tournament on Sunday, 1 February 2026 at Rushcutters Bay Park. What began with just 60 kickballers has grown into a vibrant, inclusive community, and this special day is about coming together to play, reconnect, and reflect on how far we’ve come—while giving back to causes close to our hearts.

🏆 Tournament Format & Teams

The tournament will feature six colourful teams (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple) in a fun, single-elimination format, designed to be social and welcoming for players of all skill levels. You can sign up with friends by choosing a team colour or join solo as a free agent and be placed in a team through our classic kickball fishbowl. Once teams are finalised, you will receive email comms to submit a team name and nominate a captain on the week of January 26.

💖 How the Charity Voting Works

This event is also about making a difference. Teams will vote to support one of three charities—ACON, Black Rainbow, or QLife—with funds raised shared across all three, and the winning team’s chosen charity receiving the largest portion. With a $30 registration fee, every participant helps support our community while celebrating five years of connection, pride, and KICKBALL. 

Whether you’re playing, cheering, or just enjoying the atmosphere, everyone is welcome to be part of the celebration.
