EATALIAN TALKS - "WHEREVER IT LEADS"
"WHEREVER IT LEADS" SEEING THE WORLD THROUGH THE EYES OF AN ARTIST - A TALK ABOUT ART, INSPIRATION AND THE THOUSAND ROADS THAT LEAD TO ART
With MARA CALLEGARO italian visual artist in residence
The Italian visual artist in residence Mara Callegaro will spend the month of March as part of the WONDERFUL – Art Research Program, promoted in collaboration with the Museo del Novecento and Fondazione MUS.E in Florence.
After having explored Sydney’s artistic landscape, having met Italian artists working locally, and having undertaken a research experience in remote areas of New South Wales, with particular attention to nearby reserves and national parks, as part of her Residence project, Mara will meet art enthusiasts in an EATALIAN TALKS meeting focused on ART, INSPIRATION AND THE THOUSAND ROADS THAT LEAD TO ART, Tuesday 24th March 2026 at 12.30pm at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura.
Based in Milan, Mara Callegaro’s work focuses on everyday life and the subtle psychological tensions experienced by both individuals and communities. Her practice develops in close dialogue with the spaces she inhabits and traverses, often seeking situations of temporary displacement that generate new perspectives and narrative possibilities. Formal experimentation—combining photography, performance, and writing—remains a defining element of her research.
Enjoy free Italian lunch, alcohol free Peroni Beer and refreshments with us!!
