We have 3,000 shrubs and ground covers to plant. We will pre-dig the planting holes. As well as planting, you will give them a good drink of water.

Join us to celebrate National Tree Day

Bring your family and friends to a fun filled day where we unite for a greener tomorrow. Together, we can make a difference, one tree at a time. Mark your calendar for a day of fun, nature and community spirit!

Let's make a difference by planting 3,000 trees, shrubs and ground covers. By doing so, we'll provide essential food and habitat for our local wildlife such as eastern grey kangaroo, wallum froglet, brown quail, Australian pipit and grey-headed flying foxes.

Most activities run throughout the event period. Drop in any time and duration during this period. Guided walks and workshops must be pre-booked.

All tools, plants, gloves and guidance are all provided. Please bring your own drinking water and wear enclosed shoes and sunsafe clothing. To redeem your free small espresso coffee, bring along your own resuable coffee cup.

Is there a car park onsite?

The main car park has 50 spaces and the overflow car park has 40 spaces. You MUST book a car park to guarantee a space. Those without a booking will travel 10 minutes down the road to Peregian Springs State School to catch our shuttle bus. Or book a space on one of our charter buses.

If i don't book a car park space, where do I catch the FREE Shuttle Bus?

How do I book a seat on the FREE Charter Buses from Caloundra, Sippy Downs & Maroochydore?

We have free charter buses you can catch with stops at Caloundra, Kawana, Maroochydore, Landsborough, Palmview and Sippy Downs. Book your seats when you register. Ensure you book a seat for each person in your group.

Is your event wheelchair friendly?

The event is held in an open paddock with uneven ground (see event images and video). The event site is 50m from the car park along a gravel track. If you would like to attend please email us bushcare@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au and we can call you to discuss some options and possibilities.

Will there be a toilet?

Yes, we will have 1x accessible and 1x regular portable toilet onsite.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your own water and wear enclosed shoes and sunsafe clothing. We recommend you not wear your best clothes as you/your children may get dirty. Bring your own reusable coffee cup to redeem your free small coffee. Further cold and hot drinks will be available to purchase.

What are you providing?

All tools, plants, gloves and guidance are all provided for the planting activity. Live acoustic music, craft activities, face painting, insect display and information stalls. Free sausage sizzle (with vegetarian option) and one free small coffee per adult.
