Dookie Day Agriculture Alumni Celebrations

The University of Melbourne Dookie Campus will be open on Sunday 9 September for a day of agricultural discovery, providing the opportunity to explore the 2,440-hectare site and experience the latest developments in research and education in plant and animal health, farming, food and agribusiness.

Join us for a special program of activities for University of Melbourne agriculture alumni that will be held in conjunction with Dookie Day. Begin your personalised experience with a dinner the evening before Dookie Day as hosted by Professor Herbert Kronzucker, Head of the School of Agriculture and Food. There’s no need to rush away afterwards with the option to mingle in the bar lounge area after dinner, and even stay on campus in a limited number of single dorm rooms. Then commence your Dookie Day with a morning tea with fellow agriculture alumni and hear about the array experiences available throughout the campus.

Agriculture Alumni Dinner
Saturday 8 September, from 6:00pm
Begin the celebrations at Dookie the evening before with a dinner for agriculture alumni. The evening promises an element of discovery and the opportunity to reconnect with your extended alumni community. The new Head of School, Professor Kronzucker, looks forward to meeting agriculture alumni and providing an update from the School of Agriculture and Food. A welcome reception will commence at 6:00pm, followed by dinner at 7:00pm and the opportunity to continue catching up in the bar lounge afterwards.

Cost: A welcome drink and three-course meal is included at no cost for alumni and guests. Drinks during and after dinner are available at bar prices.

Dookie Bed and Breakfast
Overnight Saturday 8 September
Up to 56 single dorm rooms are available on campus to book for the evening on a first-in first-served basis, with shared bathroom facilities.

Cost: $60 per person (plus $4.39 processing fee) for a made bed in a single dorm room and breakfast.

Agriculture Alumni Morning Tea
Sunday 9 September, 10:30am - 11:30am
Continue the celebrations on Dookie Day, Sunday 9 September, with a morning tea for agriculture alumni. Start your day of exploration with a gathering of fellow alumni and hear about the full range of activities throughout the campus that you can enjoy for the day.

Cost: This is a free activity for alumni and guests.
