Domestic and family violence can be experienced by anyone and is a widespread and harmful social issue that impacts on the workplace. Australia now has industrial laws around domestic and family violence leave entitlements. This course will equip you to confidently and appropriately respond to a disclosure of domestic and family violence in the workplace, helping to create a safer, more supportive environment for all employees.

Participants will learn why domestic and family violence is a workplace issue, the signs to be able to recognise domestic and family violence, the link between gender inequality and domestic and family violence, and the importance of a safe, respectful workplace culture for supporting disclosures. This workshop also covers how to respond to disclosures of domestic and family violence in a trauma-informed manner, and how to create a workplace safety plan.
