Wellbeing, Support & Ground Rules
This event will involve discussions of sensitive and potentially traumatic topics. During this event, we ask that you do not share specific details of traumatic or violent experiences. We ask this in order to be considerate to anyone else attending the event who may have had similar experiences.
The facilitated discussion will remain general and focused on legislation reform. Please be aware that while the facilitator will steer discussion towards general feedback, people attending the event may share their lived experience of coercive control and experiences of violence in families, relationships or from carers.
There will be WWDACT staff available who have undertaken Mental Health First Aid Training or Accidental Counsellor training. By simply putting an asterisk symbol in the online zoom chat like so (*) these WWDACT staff members will shift you into a zoom "break out room" for a one-on-one conversation. These staff members will be available to have a conversation for the duration of the event. These staff members are not professional mental health practioners and are not intended to substitute for qualified mental health support.
