The health of any democracy depends on an active and informed communication process in which citizens from all walks of life engage in constructive, meaningful dialogue. Political debates facilitate active communication and engage citizens in the civic process which aims to ensure a stronger, more positive outlook for our society.


The Australian Institute of Architects, together with fellow associations across the built environment in the NT, are proud to host a lively debate and discussion on the future direction of the built environment across the Territory.


Featuring the Territory's Chief Minister, Eva Lawler MLA, together with the Leader of the Opposition, Lia Finocchiaro, MLA, this event promises to be one of the most high profile events taking place across the built environment this year.


Offering you an evening of delicious food at the Darwin Convention Centre, and offering you the opportunity to raise your questions directly with both leaders, this debate event is your chance to engage in thought-provoking conversations and hear their thoughts on the future direction of the built environment across the Northern Territory.
