Description

What will we do?

We will unpack the key elements of the Digital Technologies Curriculum, introduce the CSER MOOCs, explore general purpose programming language resources, unplugged activities, Design thinking and assessment tasks. We will discover how teachers can integrate Digital technologies throughout the curriculum.

We will explore programming with Micro:bit, Lilypad Arduino and Ozobots

Who should come along?

All Secondary teachers interested in incorporating Digtal Technologies in their teaching - not just specialists in ICT/DT.
Numbers will be limited to 25 participants.

What should you bring?

  • A charged laptop. Pre-install Arduino IDE
  • Google account
  • Snack and lunch (can also be purchased on-site at the Scienceworks cafe)
  • Pre-register for MV Teachers (free access to Museums Victoria and much more)

This event will include a private tour of CSIRAC (An international icon of the digital age, CSIRAC is the only intact first-generation computer surviving anywhere in the world.)

This event will be run by Toni Falusi and Celia Coffa - Project Officers for CSER Digital Technologies Project. We are proudly hosted by the Education Team of Museums Victoria - Scienceworks.
