We have all been awed by someone who always seems to know what to say and how to say it, in any situation. This competency is important in all areas of life. The ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact improves our leadership skills by helping us manage change, negotiate and compromise, resolve conflicts, gain consensus and collaboration, and create a cohesive team.

The number one human fear is face-to-face communication, or more specifically, confrontational communication. The fact that the world is moving forward at a fast pace means that we are required to produce impromptu responses. This is a challenging transition for many of us. In addition, we’ve all seen question and answer sessions spin out of control and leave the entire presentation ending on a confusing and sometimes confrontational note.

At the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to handle confrontational questions and situations in a confident and diplomatic way, speak honestly and tactfully, stay in control, and use a responding method to help others find common ground when holding opposing viewpoints.
