Developing a Cross Border E-Commerce Strategy Webinar
Event Information
Description
As a valued stakeholder you are invited to participate in an “Developing a Cross Border E-Commerce strategy” briefing on Wednesday 6 May 2020 from 03:00pm to 04:00pm (AEDT). The briefing will focus on how NSW businesses can engage with global trade and supply-chains through e-commerce (export and import) and the opportunities resulting from the current global situation.
Why e-commerce now?
Online shopping has quickly progressed from an activity for the young and tech savvy to an everyday activity for people of all ages, particularly in the current climate. Many markets are seeing double-digit growth in online sales as e‑commerce platforms drastically increase access to new products. Like all business opportunities, exporting online poses a number of challenges and risks. However, it can also provide a more equal playing field for small businesses, help niche companies implement a scalable business model, and be an effective way to keep up with overseas competitors.
eCommerce will play a critical role as we respond to the current international situation and will drive lasting change to consumer behaviours. The sector can expect to see an accelerated ecommerce growth as a result of the shock switch from physical to online channels as a result of public space shutdowns; and as the regrowth starts and continues online due to permanent changes to shopping behaviour.
