Department of Education PODD Introductory Workshop - Glenroy
Overview
PODD (Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display) is a comprehensive and complete communication system for students who cannot meet all of their communication needs with speech alone. PODD is a tool designed to support students with self-initiated, self-generated, autonomous communication.
This two-day introductory workshop is appropriate for school teams, including teacher/s, education support staff, speech pathologists and other allied health professionals working with students with complex communication needs, in Victorian government schools. These challenges may be associated with a range of diagnoses.
This workshop will include:
- Demonstration of the PODD communication system through videos and case studies
- Opportunity for hands on practice using PODD communication systems
- Strategies to support the implementation of PODD with students and team members
Please note this workshop is available only to Victorian Department of Education staff. If you do not work for the Department of Education and would like to attend a PODD Introductory Workshop with us, please visit the CPEC website to find an alternate workshop.
This workshop will take place face to face in Glenroy, Victoria.
Morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.
