In this session, you will learn the rationale and purpose for generating effective feedback. This workshop will consider the background of University policy on feedback and expectations.

You will understand the nature of formative and summative feedback.

The workshop will address issues of timeliness; tangibility; and targeted nature of feedback.

The workshop will examine the inter-relationship between Learning Outcomes, Rubrics, Marking Guides, and Feedback.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understanding purpose and context of Feedback.
  • Understanding the inter-relationship between Learning Outcomes, Rubrics, Marking Guides and Feedback.
  • Writing effective feedback.
  • Understand the value of training support staff writing feedback in your unit (similar to Moderation exercises for assessment.
  • Understanding how to use LMS to write and store feedback.
