Deep Rest: A Yoga Nidra Experience
Join Claudia for a powerful meditation done lying down that allows the body to completely relax while the mind remains aware and awake
In this deeply restorative session, Claudia will guide you through a 45 minute Yoga Nidra Meditation - a powerful meditation practice done lying down that allows the body to completely relax while the mind remains aware and lightly awake.
Often called “yogic sleep,” research shows this state activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest” response), which reduces cortisol levels, supports restorative sleep, encourages emotional regulation and improves overall resilience to stress.
During Yoga Nidra, brainwave activity shifts from active beta brain waves into slower alpha and theta states. These are the same states associated with the edge of sleep. In these slower brainwave patterns, the subconscious mind becomes more accessible. We then use this state to rewire many of our habits, stress responses, and emotional patterns that are stored below our conscious awareness.
This session is perfect for anyone who feels constantly “on,” struggles to unwind, or simply needs deep rest. No experience is necessary. Just come as you are, wear your comfiest clothes, and allow yourself to rest and be guided into stillness.
Date: Sunday 15th March
Time: 6.30pm - 7.30pm
What to bring: Yoga mat, pillow, light blanket, eye mask (if you have one)
I look forward to seeing you on the mat,
Claudia 🙏
