About this event

Community organisations usually bring out the best of human behaviours, but every group experience problems from time to time. The Committee needs to know how it can legally and effectively manage those difficult and unacceptable behaviours so they don’t threaten the organisation’s reputation or success.

The workshop will cover:

• Discussion vs debate vs argument vs conflict vs disputes vs unacceptable behaviour

• Dealing with difficult behaviour inside meetings

• Dealing with difficult behaviour outside meetings.

The session will include takeaway tools and references to additional resources.

Kate McPhee, our facilitator for this workshop, has been working with small community organisations for more than 25 years, designing and delivering governance, management and training workshops and services.

She understands the high and lows and the everyday challenges of bringing volunteers together to discuss and decide what an organisation could and should be doing, and she ‘gets’ how very frustrating and how immensely satisfying it can be.

Kate’s training programs are lively and relevant and designed to give you tips, tools and tricks to make your role easier and more enjoyable.
