Dave Warner - Performance & Author Talk - Celebrating NSW Senior's Festival

Ulladulla LibraryUlladulla, NSW
Thursday, Mar 12 from 2 pm to 3:30 pm AEDT
Overview

Dave will discuss his various books and then treat the audience to a performance with guitarist, Tony Durant

Join us at Ulladulla Library for this special performance and author talk!

A winner of the Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Fiction, and the WA Premier’s Literature Award, author and musician Dave Warner’s creative career spans fifty years. Dave and his guitarist, Tony Durant, met in London in 1976 before working on Dave Warner’s from the Suburbs’ gold album ‘Mugs Game’. Dave has written stage musicals, TV screenplays (McLeod’s Daughters, Packed to the Rafters & more), feature movies and over twenty-five books, of which fifteen are crime fiction novels. Guitarist Tony is acknowledged in Europe as one of the originators of `'psychedelic folk' through his band Fuchsia.

Dave will give an autobiographical spin on where the inspiration of his various books comes from, how the characters evolve, and how his literary and musical works inform one another. He’ll also read from his upcoming crime novel 'Sound Mind Dead Body', an Agatha Christie style cluedunnit set in 1929. Interspersing this entertaining chat, Tony and Dave will play a number of songs that resonate with the discussion.

Dave will be selling his merchandise at the event. If you would like to support him by purchasing any items, please bring cash.

Please Note: This event may be photographed for promotional use on Library and Council social media pages and websites. If you would prefer not to be photographed, please let our staff know on the day.
