Prerequisites

This course is designed for data professionals. We recommend you have:

• SQL Expertise (1+ Year): Proficient in crafting complex queries involving SELECT statements, JOINs, subqueries, and applying foundational performance optimization techniques.
• Data Warehousing & BI (1+ Year): Practical experience working with dimensional models such as Star Schema and 3NF, along with familiarity in using business intelligence and reporting tools.
• Data Modelling Knowledge: Solid grasp of the principles behind conceptual, logical, and physical data model design.
• Development Lifecycle Awareness: Understanding of version control systems, deployment workflows, and the promotion of code across development, testing, and production environments.
• Analytical Thinking: Skilled at interpreting business needs and translating them into precise data requirements and transformation rules.

In addition:

• The platform for the Live Online Training will be Microsoft Teams, for which students will need Internet-compatible laptop or PC, Speaker, Microphone and Webcam.
• Once enrolled, we will ask you to sign an NDA release form for the proprietary materials we will then share with you.
• Once you’ve done that, we’ll share with you class materials and access to approximately fifteen hours of preparatory, self-paced, on-line video training that equates to approximately three days of self-paced training that is mandatory prior to starting the instructor-led component.

The Certification Exam

• The price of the course includes one private, on-line Certified Data Vault 2.1 Practitioner exam.
• The student will be granted access to the on-line exam after completion of the first three days of the course and will be given four weeks to complete the exam.
• Students have a maximum of two attempts to pass the course within the allotted time.
