FAQ's
Am I a Beginner or Intermediate?
We describe a beginner as someone with minimal track experience, or who is not confident to ride around the track on their own.
An intermediate rider is someone who is confident to ride around the track on their own, and is wanting to improve their jumping and general skills.
If you're unsure, best bet is to sign up for a Beginner Lesson, and if you're already too advanced for this, our coach will let you know.
What Age Group are these lessons for?
These lessons are suitable for any age that can ride a bike - however, if you're under 7 years old, you should definitely attend the Beginner Lesson.
What do I need to bring?
You need to bring a suitable BMX bike, helmet, closed in shoes - and we recommend a drink bottle. Additional safety gear is optional - we always recommend gloves, knee pads and elbow pads for beginners.
Who is the Coach?
These lessons are taken by Pete Mackellar. Pete has been riding BMX for 30 years as a racer and freestyle rider. He's competed in events across Australia and internationally. Pete is passionate about coaching the next generation of year riders and helping them get the same fun out of BMX that he has.
