A chance to help Banyule City Council, Nangak Tamboree Wildlife Sanctuary and Darebin City Council compete in this years, Great Southern BioBlitz. This citizen science event is a critical biodiversity snapshot for local land managers.

Come and discover some of the natural wonders of the Darebin Creek Wildlife Corridor with Zoologist, John Harris.As part of the Great Southern BioBlitz, John and Council staff will start the day off with a brief introduction and training session in the use of iNaturalist. The walk along the Darebin Creek Trail will be a slow amble, aimed at pointing out all the interesting local plants and animals and giving you an opportunity to make observations on iNaturalist.Observations made on the day, go a long way to helping local land managers understand the areas local biodiversity values. You will also be helping Banyule to compete in this year's Great Southern BioBlitzThe walk is on sealed paths and accessible to most abilities.Important Information:<ul><li>Please bring a smart phone, tablet or camera to take phots of interesting plants and animals (which can be uploaded live or at home to iNaturalist).</li></ul><ul><li>Weather appropriate clothing and closed toed, sturdy footwear.</li></ul><ul><li>Please bring drinking water.
