The Oration's purpose is to illuminate the life and works of Dante Alighieri.

The Oration's purpose is to illuminate the life and works of Dante Alighieri.

This year the speaker will be Doctor Simona Martorana, lecturer in the Department of Classical Studies at the Australian National University.

The title of her presentation is:

Dante's Vergil: Classical poetry and its afterlife in the "Divina Commedia".

The event will be opened by the Dante Alighieri Society choir.

The evening is free entrance to Society Members and the public but you must register to attend as places are limited.
