About this event

  • 2 hours

Are you craving connection and community with other pregnant women?

Do you wish there was a place you could skip the small talk, cut the BS and talk freely with others?

Are you always rushing in your day to day life and need an excuse to get still, get into your body, out of your head and really be present in your pregnancy journey?

Then my pregnancy circle series is for you!

We will talk, laugh, probably cry, drink tea, eat yummy snacks and move through some rituals and practices together.

Dandenong Ranges Pregnancy circle series. 3 consecutive Sunday afternoons. 2pm - 4pm each week.

My circles are first and foremost about connection, story sharing and having fun. These circles will be a relaxed, welcoming and intimate gathering of pregnant people. You do not have to be a certain type of women or be planning to have a certain type of birth to attend. This is a non judgemental and warm space to be seen and heard in your journey however that looks for you.

When women gather intentionally, magic happens. Each gathering will include grounding exercises, guided meditation, journalling, individual uninterrupted sharing, intention setting, connection, ritual, themes, and fear and emotional release.

No prior circle experience necessary. I love welcoming complete newbies! It is not as scary or intimidating as you think it will be.

Each week we will dive into a different theme: Week 1: The emotional and spiritual experience of pregnancy & Connecting to your intuition, body and baby. Week 2: Birth dreaming and affirmations & Childbirth as a rite of passage & fear release. Week 3: Your postpartum and the fourth trimester & Matrescence and motherhood.

I am a postpartum doula, matrescence educator and guide and motherhood practitioner. I also have training in birth debrief and story telling. That means, that I have specialised knowledge and can support you in your pregnancy, early postpartum, and motherhood.

Circle is a chance to take time out from the everyday and have a moment to reflect and just 'be'. Pregnancy can be a wild ride. Often experiencing things for the first time (even if it isn't your first time!), it can feel isolating and intense, joyful and incredible.

Circle can be a space to reconnect with yourself and your intuition, connect with other women on the same journey and feel deeply heard and seen in what you are experiencing.

All experiences welcome, no matter where you are at on your pregnancy journey or how many children you have. LGBTQIA+ friendly event.

Herbal teas, snacks and nibbles will be provided. Each participant will a receive a journal to use throughout the circle series.

$ 50 per circle. Commitment to full series is required so that we have the opportunity to build community and deep authentic connection. Total cost for 3 week series is $150.

When you book, you book to attend the whole series - all 3 Sundays. This way we can build connection, community and really get to know each other in the group.

To secure your spot please book through Eventbrite, selecting either the full payment option or the single circle option. If you select the single circle option remaining payment accepted via Direct Deposit will be organised via email with Ali.

Concession card holders and single parents rate: $40 per circle. $120 total cost. Please contact me and I'll set up seperate payment for you.

3 x Sunday afternoons. 2nd June, 9th June, and 16th June. Held at Mums of the Hills Hub in Belgrave.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. I am more than happy to help. Reach out via email: alisonheppell@icloud.com or over on Instagram: aliheppell_mothercare.

Frequently asked questions

I am a first time mum. Is this for me?

Yes. First time mums are very welcome. Anyone who is experiencing pregnancy is invited to join us in this pregnancy circle series.

I already have children/been pregnant before. Why would I attend this circle series?

Often mothers who already have children find it difficult to find the time and space to honour their pregnancy. This is a space for you to slow down and really notice your experience in pregnancy this time.

Will it still be relevant to me if I am in my third trimester?

Yes. Anyone at any stage of their pregnancy is invited to attend. Last time we had people from their first, second and third trimester. All of the themes and things that we will touch on in circle will be relevant to you.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. If you park on the street you will be able to access venue. Accessible toilet in venue.

What is parking like?

Parking can be found on the street out the front of the pre school/kindergarten.

Refund policy

No refund given due to illness, change of mind or inability to attend a circle, however I will send you any resources that you may have missed out on and the associated journaling questions for that circle.

What if I have to cancel a circle as the facilitator?

If I am unable to run a session due to circumstances out of my control, circle will be changed to another date. If I need to cancel due to insufficient numbers signed up I will refund in full.

What should I wear?

Wear what feels comfortable. Come as you are. There are no expectations on what you look like at my circles. You will be mostly sitting and will lie down for meditation.

What should I bring?

Bring your own drink bottle. And anything else that will make you feel comfortable. I will have herbal tea and snacks. I will have pens if you forget yours. You will be provided with a journal at first circle.

How 'woo woo' are you?

My circles are intended to be accessible and comfortable. Especially if you have not been to a circle before. I will have an alter with candles, crystals and flowers. I will have oracle cards and we will participate in rituals - words/actions that are routinely carried out.
