About this event

  • 7 hours 30 minutes

Join QCEFT and EFT Trainer, Dr Clare Rosoman, for a one-day in-person, experiential workshop focusing on the EFT Tango. The workshop aims to build EFT therapists’ confidence and skill in applying the 5 moves of the EFT Tango to shape powerful change in couples, families, and individual clients. Skilled use of the ‘Tango’ is at the heart of effective EFT, but can be confusing, even for experienced EFT therapists: this workshop will enhance your competency, regardless of your level of EFT experience.

The training will include practical tools, experiential exercises and resources to take away to build your confidence and skill in using the EFT Tango.

Assumed prior knowledge: Externship in EFT/ Essentials in EFIT/ EFIT Level 1

At the end of training, participants will be able to:

  • Skillfully apply the 5-moves of the EFT Tango and the key EFT therapist micro-skills to shape moments of change in-session.
  • Track negative cycles of interaction that lead to disconnection and insecurity in the attachment bond between partners, and the repetitive, life-limiting patterns of coping within individuals.
  • Assemble and deepen emotional experiences to widen your client’s window of tolerance and to build their emotional flexibility.
  • Successfully shape corrective emotional experiences, such as engaged encounters between partners (in EFCT) and with parts of self or imagined attachment figures (in EFIT).
  • Shape corrective moments in-session that restructure the attachment bond and revise internal working models of self and other.

Participants will also receive laminated resources including: a set of intervention cards, an EFT micro-skills sheet, Tango plus sheet, EFIT cycle sheet, and an EFCT cycle prompts sheet.

Catering

Morning and afternoon tea will be provided, along with tea, coffee and water.

QCEFT has decided not to cater lunch for this event. Ample time to purchase and eat lunch will be provided and there are a number of different options available in the immediate area. Participants are able to bring their own food and there is a fridge and microwave available. This decision was made based on our committment to providing cost effective training, as well as awareness of individual dietary requirements which may not be able to be catered for.
