Cyber security is arguably the fastest growing industry and most in-demand career field in Australia today with over 11,000 jobs being created in the next three years. Deakin School of IT and LifeJourney are hosting this information session and workshop to help teachers and schools better understand the field of cyber security, the programs available to help inspire and prepare students and the post-secondary courses and degrees that can take them into the professional.

Learn from other teachers implementing cyber security in their school's curriculum and industry experts working in the field who will share their stories. Walk away with a new understanding of this emerging field, equipped with the resources and tools to help your students succeed.

11.20 - 12.00 Optus and ASD Cyber Security program ambassador presentations
12.00 - 1.00 Lunch
1.00 - 2.50 Teacher presentations and workshops (a laptop or tablet/ iPad will be required for this portion of the day)

Who should attend? Secondary school teachers, curriculum leaders, careers counsellors and those in leadership roles (Principals, Assistant Principals, etc). Multiple attendees from the same school are welcome. Please feel free to forward the invitation to other colleagues who may be interested.

Getting there The venue for the event is located directly across from Southern Cross Station which makes this easily accessible for everyone and we hope will also encourage regional attendance
