Subiaco Museum

Do you like collecting? Do you have a collection of shells, feathers, rocks or toys? Come along to the museum and be a curator for the morning where you get to make a diorama of your collection.Jessica Marantelli is the curator at Subiaco Museum and her job along with the help of her staff is to find, research and tell stories about the objects from the museum’s collection. These objects are put in a show case to let visitors see and discover the stories they tell. This showcase is like a diorama full of objects. At the museum you will make a mini-museum showcase by making your own box diorama. What objects would you choose? What stories will they tell? How will you display the objects in your box?Note: All participants will be required to bring their own small collection to the museum, for example: shells, stamps etc. The objects will need to be able to fit into a tissue box.
