Cryptic Crossword Club 2026

The Cryptic Crossword Club meets each month on the third Wednesday.

Join expert Ralph Penglis on the third Wednesday of the month; bring your experience sharpen your skills and have fun.

Participants MUST have a basic understanding of how to do cryptic crosswords.

The club meets every third Wednesday of the month: 21/1, 18/2, 18/3, 15/4, 20/5, 17/6, 15/7, 19/8, 16/9, 21/10, 18/11 and 16/12, 1.30pm - 3pm.

Please note: You only need to register once to join the Cryptic Crossword Club until December 2026. If participants miss 3 or more consecutive weeks without notifying staff, then they may forfeit their booking.

• Bookings are essential and spaces are limited.
• Participants MUST have a basic understanding of how to do cryptic crosswords.
• You only need to register once to join the Cryptic Crossword Club until December 2026.
• You must be a Library member to attend. Library membership is free and you can join online or at any branch.
• Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.
• If you are unable to attend the Club, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible.
• Your ticket might be cancelled by the organiser at any time on short notice. You will be notified by email.
• If participants miss 3 or more consecutive weeks without notifying staff, then they may forfeit their booking.
