About this event

  • 1 day 20 hours

The word of God tells us that Jesus Christ is enough! The church in Collosae believed they could follow Jesus but also wanted more. They wanted mystical teachings, pagan wisdom and other philosophies too. But is Jesus really enough? I know I need to trust in Jesus, but can’t I trust in myself too? Is it wrong that I want more than Christ? Find out as we study Paul's letter to the Colossian church at CrossCulture Camp 2024: Christ Sufficient and learn what the God who is all-sufficient has to say in His word.

HOSTED BY UNIFY YOUTH

We are excited to host our third CrossCulture Camp. Set aside your weekend for a time together to grow in your faith, enjoy fellowship and deepen your fervency for Jesus Christ. The camp is located by the beach in Gerringong and there will be a great balance of spiritual food, uplifting conversations, and a whole lot of fun.

Frequently asked questions

What is CrossCulture?

Around us today, everything competes for our attention and allegiance. But God calls believers to be set-apart. To live Cross-cultured is to live for Jesus like pilgrims, with one foot in this world and the other in eternity. This is the mission of CrossCulture: living for Jesus in a hostile world.

What is UNIFY Youth?

UNIFY Youth is the Friday night youth group for high schoolers at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Glenwood. Each Friday we spend time learning from God’s word, enjoying fellowship and playing games.

I’m not from UNIFY Youth, can I still come?

Absolutely! We welcome everyone to come along to CrossCulture: Christ Sufficient ! This is a camp for all teenagers, particularly Christians, and is simply hosted by UNIFY Youth. Youth leaders are welcome to attend too but must contact m.crethar@emmanuel.org.au to organise this.

Does the camp cost include accomodation on-site?

Yes. There are cabins at Chittick Lodge that atendees will be staying at overnight for the duration of the camp. The cost of the ticket primarily covers accomodation, food and booklets. If you are staying off-site, please contact m.crethar@emmanuel.org.au for a discount.

Help! I can’t afford to come to camp! What do I do?

Camp runs as cheap as possible and is actually running at a small loss. We understand that camp may be a bit too expensive for some families. We don’t want money to be a barrier to attend so if you are unable to pay the full amount, please contact m.crethar@emmanuel.org.au to organise a subsidy.

What sort of music will we be singing at camp?

We love singing praises to our mighty God and have a time of worship by singing in each session. We aim to sing ancient and contemporary songs that are true to Scripture, rich in content and (to the best of our knowledge) have no association to organizations tied to false teaching.

Can I listen to sessions from previous years?

Yes, all of our sessions and workshops from CrossCulture 2023: Beginnings can be found for free at The UNIFY Podcast on Spotify or wherever podcasts can be found.
