Criminal Outsider is a live, true crime forensics performance that presents the biographies of some of Australia's most fascinating 1900-1930 organised “outsider criminals.”

What is an Outsider Criminal?

Best-selling author Roy Maloy specialises in the biographies of the organised criminals from the 1900-1930’s focusing on the rare outsider group of organised criminals who are female, Aboriginal, children, disabled, elderly or queer.

You will be given printed case files on arrival, and be walked through a performance that includes forensics demonstrations of the weapons and the theories that are linked to some of the most unbelievable crimes committed by Australian history. Inckuding biographies of criminals that include “Dolly Gray”, the Crutchie Push, Cranky Bella, Aboriginal gangster Daniel Hempfield, vendetta madam Minnie Clark and sly grog baroness Bridget Mahoney and Squizzy Taylor, Criminal Outsider takes no prisoners!
