Join us for a special evening as the participants of the Transit Creative Project 2026 present their performance.

Rehearsed and developed over the course of four days, the participants of the Transit Creative Project will showcase their skills in this special one-off theatre event.

The evening will feature two brand new dance works, one contemporary and one jazz, choreographed by the esteemed Transit faculty and featuring the Creative Project participants.

A BOUT THE CREATIVE PROJECT:

The Transit Creative Project is one of Australia’s leading holiday intensives for dancers 12 – 25 years old.

Taking place over four days, this workshop based project sees participants work with renowned Australian choreographers to create and rehearse an original 20-minute dance work. These works are then presented onstage at the conclusion of the week in a full scale performance in our very own Transit Dance Theatre.

This is a unique opportunity for emerging young artists to work closely with the Transit Dance creative team and gain valuable insight into a professional creative process in a non-competitive and collaborative environment.

In 2019, the Transit Creative Project was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Community Dance at the Australian Dance Awards.
