Join talented local author and illustrator Gabriel Evans for an immersive creative masterclass designed specifically for adults.

An introductory, hands-on course exploring children’s book art and story making. Gabriel will be sharing his personal processes in creating picture books and working with publishers.

This session gives insight into working in the Australian illustration industry and includes discussion on developing a portfolio and using social media to showcase your art.

This course includes:

  • Designing characters
  • Constructing an illustration
  • Learning step-by-step processes in developing a picture book story.

Whether you are an aspiring illustrator, a writer wanting to understand the visual side of publishing, or a curious creative looking to rediscover the joy of drawing, this session offers a supportive space to experiment and grow.

Gabriel Evans is an Australian children's book author and illustrator with ten years experience presenting talks and workshops in schools and libraries around WA and NSW.
