Empowering First Nations artists on the Gold Coast
Come connect with fellow First nations art makers and discover how to start or grow your creative business with practical training, coaching, and peer support designed to celebrate and strengthen First Nations creativity.
Join us to learn more about the arts incubator and ask questions.
What is Creative Control?
Creative Control supports Gold Coast based First Nations artists, creative entrepreneurs, groups, collectives, and arts organisations to:
- Build sustainable creative business practices rooted in cultural integrity
- Create innovative content that delivers positive social, cultural, economic, and environmental impact
- Plan, start, manage, and grow creative businesses, organisations, and enterprises
What you’ll learn about the program:
- 5 full-day workshops (Saturdays over 5 weeks)
- In-person learning with practical, enjoyable training
- Coaching and peer support from Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship
- Focus on planning, execution, and sustainability
- Fun, hands-on exercises combined with formal training
- Participants who complete the program receive a Statement of Attendance
- Additional 1:1 coaching and professional development opportunities available
We strongly recommend attending this Information Session with Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship before applying.
Note: these information sessions are in person. They are repeated, so you only need to attend once.

- Friday, 6 March – 5:30pm to 6:30pm
- Saturday, 7 March – 4pm to 5pm
