Creative Australia, First Nations First - Fitzroy Crossing Community Forum
Registrations for the Creative Australia First Nations First community engagement and consultation have now opened.
The purpose of this consultation is to seek feedback from First Nations people who work within the arts and culture sector on how Creative Australia should set up, govern, implement, invest, and deliver on its new role and responsibilities for First Nations First.
Creative Australia celebrates 50 years of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander self-determination, leadership, investment, and commitment that has bought a guiding voice on matters relating to First Nations art and culture through the very first Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Board.
Creative Australia has engaged atticusnow with a nationwide team of leading First Nations consultants who will lead engagement and community consultation over the next several months.
We encourage you to share your thoughts and aspirations for your community and sector, tell us how you think the First Nations Board should be formed and what First Nations arts and culture investment and funding programs should look like.
How you can participate
Both online and onsite consultations will be conducted from November 2023 and running through to March 2024.
This community forum will be in person and is intended for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people only. Once registered you will receive a confirmation email. These sessions will all be facilitated with First Nations consultants and technical support with experienced workshop facilitators.
