Young Minds: After School Program

Early intervention support for young people experiencing emotional or social difficulties, or at risk of mental health challenges.

<h3>C.R.A.F.T | After School Program</h3><p><br>C.R.A.F.T is an After School Program designed for young people aged 7 -12 who are who at risk of developing a mental health challenge. This is a <em><strong><strong>fortnightly</strong></strong></em><em><em> </em></em>after school program focused on creative and expressive activities for C.R.A.F.T. ing young people.</p><p>Creating Resilience, Awareness, Friendship and Teamwork through a mental wellness awareness program for young people at a primary school level.</p><p>The program covers:</p><ul><li>Emotions</li><li>Selfcare and Kindness</li><li>Worry and Anxiety</li><li>Sadness and Depression</li><li>Bullying</li><li>Coping with disappointment</li><li>Diversity, difference and Multiculturalism</li><li>Confidence and reassurance</li></ul><h4>When</h4><ul><li>5/02/26</li><li>19/02/26</li><li>5/03/26</li><li>19/03/26</li></ul><p>3:30 - 4:30 PM</p><h4>Who</h4><p>Young people aged 7 - 12, who are at risk of developing a mental health challenge.</p><h4>Where</h4><p>Helping Minds, Geraldton</p><h4>What to Bring</h4><p>✔ Hat<br>✔ Sunscreen<br>✔ Water bottle<br>✔ Enclosed shoes</p><h4>Refreshments</h4><p>Snacks are provided</p><h2>Cost</h2><p>Free<br>This program is funded by the Department of Social Services.</p><h3>Important Information</h3><ul><li>If your young person has not received support from Helping Minds before (or within the last 6 months) a phone interview will need to take place with the parent/guardian for file.</li><li>A consent form will need to be signed by both parents.</li><li>External support workers are not allowed at the workshop.</li><li>Participants require adequate independent coping skills to be able to deal with group situations.</li><li>Your young person must either have a family member or a friend living with mental health challenge or is at risk of developing mental health challenge themselves.</li><li>All our workshops have a maximum capacity to ensure our counsellors can provide adequate professional support for all participants attending.</li></ul><p><em><strong><strong>For office use only: Dolly Code MarBrief227</strong></strong></em></p>
