Swimming WA invites local families to a free Come & Try session at Coolgardie Public Swimming Pool.

This session offers a relaxed introduction to swimming skills, water confidence activities, and water polo in a supportive, community-focused environment. It is suitable for those new to the water as well as anyone looking to try something different and active.

Location: Coolgardie Public Swimming Pool

👤 WHO CAN ATTEND

• Ages 5 years and over
• Open to all ability levels
• No prior experience required
• Participants from Coolgardie and surrounding areas welcome

Parents and guardians are welcome to remain poolside during the session.

💦 WHAT TO EXPECT

Participants will take part in a range of structured, enjoyable activities including:

• Water confidence and basic swimming skills
• Introduction to water polo skills and games
• Team-based pool activities
• Opportunities to build confidence in a safe environment

Qualified staff will lead the session, with lifeguards on duty throughout.

❗ NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

This session is designed to be accessible and welcoming. Participants do not need prior swimming or water polo experience — simply come prepared to get in the water and have a go.

🎒 WHAT TO BRING

Please bring:

• Swimmers
• Towel
• Water bottle
• Goggles (optional)
• Sunscreen and hat for before and after the session

📝 REGISTRATION

This event is free to attend.

Online registration is recommended to assist planning, however registrations will also be accepted on the day subject to capacity.

👨‍👩‍👧 SUPERVISION & SAFETY

The session will be delivered by qualified personnel, and the pool will operate under standard lifeguard supervision.

Parents remain responsible for participants outside of the session timeframe.

⏰ ARRIVAL

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and be ready for a prompt start.
