Transit Origins is excited to offer this workshop with Lachlan Hall as part of a 6 week workshop series with our Contemporary extension faculty. These online youth workshops are aimed at dancers 12 and up, and will offer insight into what Transit Dance Contemporary extensions offers, including contemporary technique, improvisation and creative practice.
About Lachlan Hall:
Lachlan Hall, born in Sydney, Australia, is an extremely passionate and diligent creative artist. After years of training in Classical ballet and Contemporary Dance, Lachlan was accepted into the New Zealand School of Dance as a contemporary dance major in 2012, where he then worked with many choreographers from around the world and obtained a Diploma in dance performance. In 2015 Lachlan was accepted into Transit Dance’s inaugural Professional Pathway course where he was quickly chosen as a founding member of Transit Dance Company under the direction of Paul Malek.
Lachlan is a core contemporary facilitator at Transit Dance for the full-time programs and youth development sectors. As a choreographer, Lachlan has created many captivating works with the students at Transit, whilst also being utilised as an in-house Rehearsal Director. Lachlan also partakes in project based works with Transit Dance Company
Lachlan has also studied abroad in Israel with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company for 9 months and thrives in cultivating an abundance and wealth of knowledge to utilise in enriching his students' lives. Lachlan is a choreographer, educator, assistant, rehearsal director and dance artist.
