Join author and architect Dr Lisa Marie Daunt for the launch of her monograph on modern church architecture in Queensland 1945-1977.

Lisa Marie Daunt is a Brisbane based architect, heritage architect and architectural historian. She earned her PhD in March 2021 from the University of Queensland and is the author of the publication Constructing Faith in the Antipodes, Queensland’s modern church architecture 1945-1977 (LUP KADOC Artes Series, 2025). During her doctoral research Lisa received the Guilford Bell (UQ, School of Architecture, 2016), the Joan Allsop (for Australian History, UQ, Graduate School, 2017) and the David Saunders (SAHANZ, 2018) travel and research grants – seeing her travel to Ireland, Scotland, England, Germany, Belgium and Italy for research and presentations in 2017 and 2019. Lisa’s research outputs include book entries, 4 peer reviewed journal papers, 7 peer reviewed conference papers, and over 12 conference presentations.

After an introduction by the Fryer Librarian, Mr. Simon Farley, Lisa will discuss her research and process and officially launch the book, which will be available to purchase on the day.
