This strategy will provide the framework and pathway for increasing resource recovery, reducing waste to landfill, and ensuring highly-effective waste and resource recovery services for our community.We encourage you to register for one of the online workshops below, and help us better understand your preferences and priorities for waste and resource recovery services and outcomes in our council area.

City of Canada Bay

Did you know the average red lidded waste bin within the City of Canada Bay is more than half full of food waste? What a waste when instead you could convert your food scraps into free nutrient rich fertiliser for your garden!
Perhaps you are interested in starting composting? Or, have you already tried composting were unsuccessful?
This composting workshop will teach you how to establish a compost bin allowing for your leftover food waste to be recycled into a rich and healthy product for your garden. Learn what to do (and what not to do!) to establish a flourishing compost bin. When you get composting right its addictive! 
Please note: Bookings are essential as capacity is limited. This event is only open to residents of the City of Canada Bay. Proof of residency may be required.
