Perceptions of how we communicate have a significant impact on our ability to influence others. We all have a standard way of communicating which we adopt most of the time. Dependent on the person and/or situation we may adapt our communication style to benefit ourselves or the other person.
Once you understand your own communication style and those of others you are able to adapt your style to improve the communication experience for both parties, especially with those people with whom communication can be difficult.
