COMMIE COMEDY
A monthly showcase of local and international comics at The Old Commodore Hotel, presented by The Comedy Store.
There’s a new reason to love the middle of the week! Comedy Wednesdays have officially landed at The Old Commodore Hotel, and they're running on the second-to-last Wednesday of every month.
Join us for our next event on Wednesday 18 February. Tickets are $25 and the laughs start at 8pm, so make a night of it! Come in early for dinner and catch Happy Hour from 4–6pm before the show.
Settle in with some of the best up-and-coming comics, seasoned pros, and the occasional surprise act.
Feb Line-up
MC Carolyn Swindell
After a career in politics, Carolyn ventured into comedy full of sarcasm, money, and disdain for the lower classes.
Annie Boyle
The darling of deadpan in the Sydney comedy scene, fast becoming an undisputed star.
Sean Collier
Winner of Best Newcomer, NZ International Comedy Festival 2025. Sean’s dark sense of humour and incredible timing have made him an online stand-up sensation.
Angus Gordon
Angus’ whimsical nihilism is seamlessly organic in his almost unceasing deadpan, and the show plays mostly like a conversation with a particularly witty friend.
Frankie Rowsthorn
As heard on Triple J and 2021 RAW WA finalist, Frankie is fast rising through the ranks as one to watch in the Australian comedy scene.
Mike Goldstein
The American-born, Australian-adoptee whose rapid-fire jokes will keep the audience in stitches.
As seen on The Hundred, Phone Hacks, ABC’s Tonightly, The Pulse, Hughesy, We Have a Problem!, and Celebrity Letters & Numbers.
