Event Description

Moving into aged care can be one of life’s most emotional and complex transitions, not only for older adults but also for their families and the professionals supporting them. Join Kannen Mediation for a free, community information session designed to help families, older adults, aged care brokers, and service providers understand how mediation supports better communication, reduces conflict, and empowers older people during the transition into care.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Where mediation fits into the aged care journey
  • How families can manage disagreements or differing expectations
  • How brokers and mediators work together to support clearer decision-making
  • What older adults can do to ensure their wishes are heard and respected
  • Real examples of how mediation has helped families navigate challenging transitions

This relaxed and informative session includes a Q&A and a light networking morning tea.
