About this event

Note: This event is for Flinders University students and staff only!

Join us for a tour of the Colebrook Reconciliation Park in Eden Hills as part of National Reconciliation Week (NRW)!

Colebrook Reconciliation Park is where the Colebrook home once stood and is now a memorial for the Aboriginal children of the "Stolen Generation" and their families.

You will hear from members of the Blackwood Reconciliation Group and learn about the history of Colebrook and the meaning of the park. Visit the 'Fountain of Tears' and the 'Grieving Mother' statues sculpted by Silvio Apponyi to remember the Aboriginal children of the Stolen Generation.

The tour will run for around 1 to 1.5 hours with an introductory tour, and then time for you to wander and explore and engage with the site.

For those interested, there is also an opportunity to give back to the community by helping with planting in the Kaurna Indigenous garden!

FUSA will be providing transport options to the location. However, guests may also organise there own transport as well.
